So we just returned from an informative factory tour to McBee, South Carolina to see the manufacturing facility of A.O. Smith, State & American Water Heating Products. At about 800,000 sq. ft. of space- the factory was huge- it took about 2 hours to see everything. Funny to think that this incredible factory is located in a town of just over 700 people!

State, in particular is making some amazing products for the commercial water heater sector that should position them at the head of the pack for technology. Here are some details that will put the industry on its ear:

1. 96% efficiency. Say it again. 96%. With models up to 400,000 BTU’s, these tanks can pay for themselves in no time.

2. Electronic Control Panel- We’ve been using difficult ECPs for years, and now, finally, a manufacturer has made things easy- The displays do advanced diagnostics with the touch of a button! They’re also located at a height that won’t get soaked, bumped or broken by ambient activity.

3. Titanium Anode Rod- This anode is different from the others- it adjusts current to protect the tank from corrosion automatically, and requires no maintenance. It is so smart that it will sense & alert the owner if it is nearing the end of its life.

If you run a commercial establishment, hot water can make or break a successful day. State is investing some serious time & money into being the best in the industry and I, for one, am a believer.

Hello again! Are you ready to hear some great news? The folks in Capitol Hill are at it again, and the results are fantastic; they’ve increased the tax credit for the installation of tankless water heaters to $1500.00. The great part is that this credit is truly a “money-back” offer- not a tax deduction!

With America’s heightened sense of ecological responsibility & the green movement, installing a tankless water heater makes great sense. From the financial standpoint, however, it hasn’t always been easy to make the leap from the cheaper option of tank-style water heaters to the more than two-fold cost increase for a tankless unit. Now, with this new tax credit, homeowners can receive a 30% credit- worth up to $1500.00- towards the cost of the unit & the installation!

Here’s where Boston Standard comes into play; we’re your local, expert service company with the experience needed to install your tankless heater! When we’re done with your install, you will have an excellent, high-efficiency tankless water heater that not only saves you money, but lasts a long time.
When you’re ready to take the next step, just give us a call & find out why we’re The Company You Count On
